My current Marie Skłodowska-Curie research project explores motherhood, time and inequality in Cyprus.
A mixed-methods research project exploring how working mothers in Cyprus spend, experience and negotiate their time, and what this reveals about gender inequality and time poverty. Funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA).
Explore the project →My academic background lies in Quantitative Sociology and Public Health, with a particular interest in research methods and time-use research.
I completed an ESRC 1+3 fully funded doctoral studentship at the University of Warwick, including an integrated Master's in Social Science Research Methods and a PhD in Sociology.
Following my doctorate, I was awarded a one-year, part-time postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Advanced Study, University of Warwick. Alongside, I continued working as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Time Use Research at UCL.
My work combines methodological development with substantive questions in sociology and public health, with a focus on time-use research.
I am interested in how people organise and experience their time, especially how work, family and care shape everyday lives, and how time-use data can reveal patterns of gender inequality and time poverty.
At CTUR, I have led projects producing policy briefings for the UK Social Mobility Commission and the What Works Centre for Wellbeing, data-management guides for the Click and Drag Diary Instrument and the Millennium Cohort Study, and introductory time-use training workshops.
During my time at What Works for Wellbeing, I developed and shared time-use data-processing syntax on GitHub to support researchers in replicating analyses and extending existing research.
A selection of peer-reviewed articles, research outputs and methodological resources. Please refer to my CV for the full publication and research output list.
